Privacy policy

How Lloydtown collects, uses and protects personal information.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Lloydtown (lloydtown.org) ("we", "us") is based in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers this website, including the course guides and the browser games hosted on it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. Some multiplayer games ask you to choose a player name; we store it along with your game progress so the game works.

Information collected automatically

Our server records standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the page you came from, the pages you viewed, and the time. We use it to keep the site and games running, measure which guides people read, and prevent abuse.

Third-party content and links

  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, and video thumbnails load from YouTube. These services receive your IP address when they load.
  • Affiliate links send you to the course provider through a tracking link, so the provider and its affiliate platform (for example Impact) can credit us if you enroll. Their privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The guides will still work, though some games may not save your progress.

How we use information

  • To reply to your messages
  • To run the games and save your progress
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve them
  • To detect fraud, bots and abuse
  • To meet legal obligations

We don't sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for up to 12 months. Emails are kept for as long as the conversation is relevant. Game accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@lloydtown.org. Depending on where you live, laws such as Canada's PIPEDA, the UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you more rights. We'll reply within 30 days.

Children

The course guides are written for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
